Welcome

*COVID 19 UPDATE*

****Details of how I can currently offer you counselling***
In response to the Covid 19 pandemic, it has been necessary to change the way I work to protect everyone. Face to face meetings have ceased.

I am now able to offer the following options –
1. Webcam sessions.
2. Telephone sessions.
If you’d like more details, contact me.

If you are reading this page you are probably experiencing a difficult time in your life or know someone who is. Welcome to Jane Burton Counselling.

I am an experienced counsellor and a registered member of the BACP. I work with adults and children in my private room in the town centre location of Buxton in Derbyshire. This safe, confidential space is where you can explore how to bring about the positive life changes that you would like. Issues you may wish to explore are;-

  • anxiety and stress;
  • panic attacks;
  • depression;
  • work related problems;
  • relationship difficulties;
  • bereavement or loss;
  • feeling ‘stuck’;
  • behavioural problems;
  • recovery from trauma or illness;
  • addictive behaviour;
  • bullying;
  • low self esteem;
  • historical abuse.

I believe that we can live the life we want to live, but it sometimes becomes difficult to see how this is possible. Working together, we will uncover patterns that prevent you from making your desired changes or seeing the choices that life has to offer. Counselling can help you deal with current anxieties and stress, heal old wounds and get you out of a rut when you are feeling stuck. Together, we can explore and understand your deeper self so that you can make the changes that you desire.

If you’re wondering whether I can help you, contact me to discuss your wishes.
